With guests including government authorities, businessmen and the company’s executives and workers, TTM Chile, a company specializing in continuous flow technological solutions in mining processes, inaugurated its new corporate offices located in the ENEA Industrial Park in the Municipality of Pudahuel.
The new TTM Chile facilities comprise offices, ample warehouses and a modern Technical Training Center (CET) with 3,300 meters of construction set on 8,000 square meters of property.
The company, which started operating in 1982, has branches in Iquique, Antofagasta and Calama and subsidiaries in Peru and Bolivia. This has led to constant growth and participation in conveyor belt assembly on large projects such as Radomiro Tomic, Zaldívar and El Abra.
The event was attended by the Regional Secretary of the Ministry of Mining, Felipe Infante, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Mining, Luz Granier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Codelco, Gerardo Jofré, municipal councilors and other authorities, executives of Cochilco, Sernageomin and leading mining companies, as well as the Board of Directors of the Company, led by its Chairman Juan Eduardo Undurraga and the founding partner, Horacio Undurraga.
On this occasion, the general manager of TTM Chile, Martín Schäfer, said that “Our new home is the culmination of many years of hard work, dedication and commitment to serving our clients in the mining sector, satisfying their requirements with excellent performance in the sphere of Conveyor systems, in the form of overland conveyors or concentrator plant equipment.”
The executive added that “This building will also be the cradle of new generations of specialized technicians, since this is where the TTM Technical Training Center (CET) is located and where future professionals will acquire the knowledge and competencies related to Conveyor systems which will soon be at the disposal of the Chilean, Peruvian and Bolivian mining industries, and why not say so, the mining industry worldwide.”
Schäfer added that “TTM Chile is today a company comprising 380 collaborators. The essence of our business model is putting ourselves in the shoes of our clients, thinking of the best way we can assist them in their operational challengers, providing solutions that increase the reliability of their plants, and, in turn, reducing their costs per transported or processed ton. Hence, this building is much more than merely cement, steel and glass. It is a faithful reflection of what we are as a team and what we hope you will always encounter in TTM Peru, TTM Bolivia and TTM Chile: cordiality, professionalism, trustworthiness, but above all, a genuine vocation for service.”
With 29 years of track record and experience in the Chilean, Peruvian and Bolivian markets, TTM provides support, solutions and outsourcing in installation, maintenance and world-class operation of Conveyor systems and anti-wear equipment in concentrator plants. It also focuses its technological development on seeking out comprehensive services for its clients, concentrating on the specific operating needs of every one of them.
On the morning of Thursday, March 24, TTM Chile also organized its Power Efficiency Seminar, attended by renowned speakers and Chilean and foreign specialists. More than one hundred executives participated in this activity, underscoring the importance of analyzing and debating these issues in an industry in which the proper use of resources is a differentiating factor in the face of competition.
